Greenbrae is a big draw for those who want close proximity to abundant open space, along with the advantages of a major metropolitan area. Only a three-minute drive from the Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal and just sixteen miles from San Francisco, Greenbrae is a convenient locale for area commuters. Many Greenbrae homes for sale offer lushly landscaped, private yards and lovely views of San Francisco Bay, Corte Madera Creek, and Mt. Tamalpais. Homes in "the flats" are a short stroll to neighborhood parks, bike paths, and the Bon Air Shopping Center. Greenbrae's waterfront condos combine natural beauty with easy living.

Residents often stop by the Bon Air Shopping Center. The peak of Mt. Tamalpais provides a dramatic backdrop for the town. Mt. Tam's miles of trails through redwood groves and oak woodlands invite hikers of all abilities. A multi-use path ambles beside Corte Madera Creek, giving Greenbrae's residents a welcome place to stretch their legs and watch for wood ducks and egrets.
